about kellyg
I've come to the conclusion that my passion for graphic design developed while I was a high school student. Active in the high school community, I was constantly looking for things to feed my creativity and allow me to develop my graphic design skills. Whether it was a t-shirt for a stag dance, a website for the softball team, political signs for a state representative, or a spread in the year book; I truly enjoyed and was excited about all the things I worked on. I was finally able to answer the undying question — "What do you want to be when you grow up?". I want to be a Graphic Designer!

My formal design training began at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. During my college years, I played an active role as a Graphic Designer in the college community as a Graphic Design Intern for the UMD Athletic Department, the Office of Admissions, and the Kirby Program Board. Of course I had to throw in a few intramural sport t-shirts too!

During my post-college days I've kept busy as a full-time designer with a company based in the Twin Cities, while also working several freelance jobs. I especially enjoy my freelance work, whether business or personal, because it allows me to step outside my traditional corporate roll and practice a few of the other things I love — project management, client interaction, photography, and writing.

I'd love to chat about how my graphic design skills and experience can be of service to you. Give me a call!
